Punched; stolen mail; ‘No, this is Carnation’: Snoqualmie Valley police, fire blotter

Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls last week:

Wednesday, Sept. 5

Assault: At 7:30 p.m., police were called to a domestic violence report in the 300 block of Southeast 10th Street.

Break-in: At 11:45 a.m., a resident in the 300 block of East Park Street reported a break-in and theft at his home. The victim left Monday afternoon, and returned Wednesday to find his kitchen window broken. He said he noticed on Tuesday a light was on in the home, around 11 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 3

Punched: At 12:06 p.m., police were called to a business in the 200 block of West North Bend Way, for an assault. A guest of the business had opened his room door to the suspect, who entered and punched the victim in the face.

Friday, Aug. 31

Stolen mail: At 9:12 a.m., a caller in the 400 block of East North Bend Way reported someone had stolen a piece of outgoing mail. The victim left a letter, containing personal data, in the unlocked outgoing mailbox at his building, but the letter never arrived.

Thursday, Sept. 6

Fake credit card: At 10:38 a.m., a store employee in the 8000 block of Railroad Avenue reported that an unknown subject had just tried to use a fake credit card. The man left in a dark blue vehicle, with out-of-state plates.

Tuesday, Sept. 4

DUI: At 12:38 a.m., police received a call from a Liquor Control Officer, who was following an intoxicated driver on Railroad Avenue. A patrolman picked up the car at Snoqualmie Parkway and followed as it drove erratically down S.R. 202, before stopping it in the 37200 block. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Friday, Aug. 31

Missing plate: At 10:50 a.m. an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle at Meadowbrook Way Southeast and Southeast Park Street, that was missing a front license plate. The driver said the plate had fallen off in a car wash. She also had a suspended license, and was cited.

Thursday, Sept. 6

Out of town: At 5:24 p.m., an officer responded to the 33300 block of Northeast 32nd Street to check on a report of an intoxicated woman sitting at the wheel of a car. The woman was alone, but then a man came out of the woods, apparently with the woman. They told the officer they thought they were in Sultan. The officer drove them to Woodinville.

Marijuana: At 12:02 p.m., an officer found marijuana on a person at East Bird Street and Tolt Avenue, and confiscated the goods.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

Expired and suspended: At 7:30 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the 11000 block of West Snoqualmie Valley Road Northeast, because its license tabs were expired. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested. The passenger was also arrested, for a current warrant from Snoqhomish County.

Tuesday, Sept. 4

Burglary: At 10:30 p.m., police responded to the 31800 block of West Rutherford Street for a burglary report. The victim said the home had been robbed some time during the day.

Fall City Fire District

Wednesday, Sept. 5

Structure fire: At 8:04 a.m., firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the North Bend area.  The Fall City engine was cancelled prior to arrival.

Heart issue: At 3:11 p.m., EMTs responded to assist a patient said to be in cardiac arrest.  On arrival, athe patient was found to be in cardiac arrest with CPR being done.  EMTs treated the patient and he was later transported to an area hospital via Bellevue Medics.

Tuesday, Sept. 4

Ditched car: At 4:46 a.m., EMTs responded to investigate a reported vehicle into a ditch with an occupant trapped. On arrival, one patient was found with minor injuries.  The patient was evaluated and then transported to an area hospital via private ambulance.

Monday, Sept. 3

Grass fire: At 10:09 a.m., firefighters responded to a reported grass fire along Redmond Fall City Road.  Nothing was found.

Burn complaint: At 2:50 p.m., firefighters responded to investigate a reported burn complaint.  A small burn pile was found on arrival.  The resident was reminded of a current county wide burn ban and the fire was extinguished.

Car vs. walker: At 4:05 p.m., EMTs responded to a reported car vs. pedestrian vehicle accident. One patient was evaluated and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Brush fire: 4:47 p.m., firefighters responded to a reported brush fire along interstate 90 in North Bend.  The Fall City engine crew assisted with extinguishment.

Car accident: At 7:22 p.m., EMTs responded to a reported two car motor vehicle accident.  On arrival the accident was found to be non injury.

Saturday, Sept. 1

Burn complaint: At 7:37 a.m., firefighters responded to investigate a reported burn complaint.  A small burn pile was found on arrival.  The resident was reminded of a current county wide burn ban and the fire was extinguished.

Friday, Aug. 31

Medical issue: At 8:58 p.m., EMTs responded to assist a patient experiencing confusion. The patient was evaluated and transported to an area hospital via Fall City aid car.

Thursday, Aug. 30

Burn complaint: At 5:21 p.m., firefighters responded to investigate a reported burn complaint.  A small burn pile was found on arrival.  The resident was reminded of a current county wide burn ban and the fire was extinguished.

Another burn complaint: At 6:56 p.m., firefighters responded to investigate a reported burn complaint. A legal recreational fire was found on arrival. The homeowner extinguished the fire.

Choking: At 9:22 p.m., EMTs responded to assist a possible choking patient. The Fall City aid car was cancelled prior to arrival by Snoqualmie Fire Dept.

Medical emergency: At 10 p.m., EMTs responded to assist an adult female experiencing a medical emergency.  The Fall City aid car was cancelled prior to arrival by Snoqualmie Fire Dept.
