Two Valley students are among the latest winners in the 57th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Winners include:

• Riley H. Wilk of Carnation, a Cedarcrest High School student and recipient of the National Merit Boeing Scholarship. He plans to study computer science.

• Elizabeth Zhang of Snoqualmie, a home-schooled student and recipient of the National Merit Boeing Scholarship. She plans to study electrical engineering.

The scholars were selected from students who advanced to the finalist level in the National Merit Scholarship competition and met criteria of their scholarship sponsors.

Corporate sponsors provide National Merit Scholarships for finalists who are children of employees or residents of communities the company serves, or who plan to pursue college majors or careers the sponsor wishes to encourage.
