Lady Wildcats claim league crown, battle Seattle Prep tonight

Senior Jori Braun led the Mount Si girls varsity hoops squad to a win over Liberty, Thursday, Feb. 10, claiming the KingCo league crown.

The Wildcats handled the Patriots 39-32 in the game, held at Bellevue College. Braun had 18 points, followed by nine from junior Shelby Peerboom and five from Hailey Eddings.

Hailey Chase led Mount Si for total rebounds with 13, followed by Eddings’ 12. Braun and Eddings both had two assists.

The Thursday win followed the Wildcats’ 61-49 win over Mercer Island Feb. 8 in their postseason opener at Bellevue. Eddings led with 21 points.

The Wildcats were set to play Seattle Prep Tuesday at Bellevue College for a trip to state.
