Ten and 11-year-old players on the Snoqualmie Crush summer baseball tournament teams ran a food drive this summer to help the Mount Si Helping Hand Food Bank. Groups went door to door on Snoqualmie Ridge and collected food at the North Bend QFC. More than 1,000 pounds of food were collected. Parents helped, but the young players led the way and impressed the adults with their excitement. Helping Hand Food Bank is open Monday and Tuesday mornings to accept donations. The food bank is constantly need of soap, toothpaste, toilet paper and non-perishable food. Learn more by calling (425) 888-0096 or visit www.mtsifoodbank.org.
