The Washington Wine Festival raised over $1.1 million dollars for Carnation’s Camp Korey and the Washington Wine Education Foundation with its second annual Wine Weekend event last week.

Camp Korey is a no-cost, medically-supervised camp for children suffering life threatening diseases. The Washington Wine Education Foundation promotes awareness of the state’s wine industry.

The two day event included wine tasting, fly fishing, hiking and other activities, and a concert by songwriter Carole King.

Camp Korey is working to join the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, a worldwide group of camps serving children with serious illnesses.
