Wildcat wrestlers win dual meet on the road

Mount Si traveled to Inglemoor recently to take on both Inglemoor and O’Dea in head-to- head wrestling competition. They came away having defeated Inglemoor 42-21 and O’Dea 49-29.

Against Inglemoor, at 103 pounds, the Wildcats Ryan Makala pinned his opponent in the first round. At 119 pounds, Kyle Heath pinned his Inglmoor opponent in the second round. At 130 pounds, the Wildcats’ Jacob Lund won by decision, 18-11. At 152 pounds, Kenny Morrison won by decision of his Inglemoor opponent, 10-6. At 160 pounds, the Wildcats’ Mac Donnell won by pin in the second round. At 189 pounds, the Wildcats’ Cary Purchase pinned his opponent in the third round. At 215 pounds, Dex Moetului pinned his Inglemoor opponent in the second round. Finally, at 275 pounds, Jeff Chapman pinned his Inglemoor opponent in the third round.

Against O’Dea, Makala won by forfeit. At 119 pounds, Heath won by pin and at 125 pounds, Joe Taklo won by decision for Mount Si. At 145 pounds, Jay Dochnahl won by decision for the Wildcats and Morrison won by decision at 152 pounds. At 160 pounds, Donnell won by forfeit and at 189 pounds, Seth Merritt pinned his O’Dea opponent. Moetului followed up by winning a decision at 215 pounds.
