Wall gets council nod

Kingston Wall was appointed to fill position No. 4 on the Snoqualmie City Council Monday night. Seven Snoqualmie citizens interviewed for the seat, which was vacated by Nate Short last month. Wall is a mortgage banker with the BBC Mortgage Co. He and his wife and their two small children have lived in Snoqualmie for one and one-half years.

Short resigned to spend more time with his family and because he will be moving back to Bellevue. Position No. 4 will be up for re-election in November.

This fall six council positions will be up for election, a city record. Jeff MacNichols is the only elected official who will not be involved in this year’s election. Mayor Fuzzy Fletcher will not seek another term. Councilman Matt Larson announced earlier this spring that he will run for mayor.

Wall plans to run again in the fall. If he wins, he and three other appointed positions on the council will be seated immediately following the certification of the general election by the King County Canvassing Board (21 days after the general election on Nov. 29).
