Football fund raiser not legitimate
This notice is to let the community know that there is not a football fund raiser currently being conducted by Mount Si High School and its students. A teenage youth has been reported to be collecting money in North Bend through door-to-door solicitations under the false premise that he is raising money for the purpose of buying football uniforms for Mount Si High School.
If a student comes to a residence asking for money, community members should take down any information about the youth and contact the police immediately.
Hole in one made on July Fourth
It was a bang-up day of golf for 44-year-old In-Gyu Lee on July Fourth when he made a hole in one at Mount Si Golf Course. Lee sank the tee-shot from 184 yards on the eleventh hole using a 4-iron. It was his first hole in one ever.
Local rower looks to nationals
Amy Brevick, a senior this coming year at Mount Si High School, was invited to “Development Camp,” which is intended to develop the talent for next year’s national rowing team. In camp, she was selected to represent the United States at the CANAMEX games in both the eight and the quad events.
Amy was part of the eight that won the Northwest regional championship, and then placed fourth in the nation back at the Youth Invitational Championship Regatta in Cincinnati.
Mount Si students compete
