Fall City Little League to hold registration

The Fall City Little League is gearing up for another season. The first registration is planned for Jan. 7, 2006, at the Fall City Fire station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second registration date is Jan. 8, 2006, at the Snoqualmie fire station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Players age 5 through 16 who live in the Fall City area, Snoqualmie Ridge and some neighboring areas are eligible and encouraged to register. An original birth certificate is required at time of registration. Online registration is also available at www.eteamz.com/FCLL. Local runners

do well

Despite a foot of snow, three Valley runners traveled to Rhode Island to participate in the Cross-Country Junior Olympics recently. Leading the effort was Owen Strom who came in 117th. Strom recorded a time of 17:40.89 while teammate Drake daPonte finished 141st with a time of 18:04.51. Both were on the Issaquah Gliders 15- and 16-year-old team that took fifth.

Max McDevitt was runner number five for the Gliders 13- and 14-year-old team, which also had a fifth-place national finish. McDevitt placed 126th with a time of 16:05.53.
