NORTH BEND – Following a three-year effort, the North Bend City Council unanimously passed a resolution adopting the city’s water system comprehensive plan at its Tuesday, July 9, meeting.
The plan is an in-depth look at the city’s water system and contains a capital improvement plan that identifies future improvement projects.
The water comprehensive plan was prepared by Gray and Osborne Inc. of Seattle. Consultant Tom Zerkel said among the water issues currently affecting the city are its lack of water rights and the use of asbestos-concrete pipes, which the city plans on replacing over the next 20 years.
