Ladder truck will have to wait for casino

Published 9:49 am Thursday, October 2, 2008

As the Snoqualmie Tribe’s plans to build a casino in Snoqualmie have been delayed, so, too, have plans to purchase a ladder truck needed to protect the building from fire.

The city of Snoqualmie last month agreed to share costs with the Tribe and the Salish Lodge & Spa to purchase a 100-foot, medium-duty, aerial ladder truck for the Snoqualmie Fire Department from American LaFrance LLC for $763,719.26. The city received the bid for the truck’s purchase price May 8, 2006. It was extended to Dec. 31, 2006, contingent on the Tribe coming up with its share of the purchase price: $311,435.
