SNOQUALMIE – Snoqualmie Valley Hospital and Overlake Hospital Medical Center officials have signed a letter of intent between the two organizations, the outcome of which could be additional services at the Snoqualmie campus and along the Interstate 90 corridor.

The letter of intent, signed last week, replaces a management agreement between King County Public Hospital District 4, which runs Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, and Overlake that was instituted Sept. 1, 2001.

“We look at this as a step forward in the relationship,” said Overlake President and CEO Ken Graham.

For 180 days following the signing, Snoqualmie Valley Hospital and Overlake officials will meet to discuss what health-care services the community needs.

“I think the idea is to look at services that are wanted or needed by the community,” Graham said.
