A King County sheriff’s deputy crashed into a guardrail while swerving to hit a deer at the intersection of Duthie Hill and Redmond-Fall City roads around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24.
The deputy – a 25-year-old officer who works out of the Kenmore precinct and has been with the department for one year – was not injured in the crash. The patrol car sustained an estimated $10,000 damage.
The sheriff’s office will hold a Driving Review Board, to determine if the crash was preventable or not.
