Parents plan Grad Night 2000
The Cedarcrest High PTSA is sponsoring “The Party of the
Century” for the more than 150 graduating seniors.
Historically, graduation night is one of the most dangerous nights
of the year for students due to drunk driving related accidents. The Grad
Night party is intended to provide a safe, alcohol and drug-free party
alternative for graduating seniors.
The chaperoned party will begin immediately after the graduation
ceremonies on June 15 and seniors will travel to undisclosed
locations throughout the night for excitement, adventure and fun. The party will
end the next morning at Cedarcrest High.
The committee is asking community members and local business
owners to donate prizes for the party _ everything from computers,
televisions, VCRs, small appliances and school supplies.
Spring car washes are planned for May 6, May 12 and June 10 from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise additional funds to support the event. The fund
raisers will be held at the Duvall Community Bank. Cost for the party is $150
per student.
