The Snoqualmie and Tolt rivers are rising rapidly, triggering flood alerts and closing roads.

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, water at the forks of the Snoqualmie had risen more than 1,000 cubic feet per second in the past hour, to 18,758 cfs.

In the Lower Valley, West Snoqualmie River Road had closed, overtopped by floodwaters, by 3 p.m.

Flood waters are expected to crest in Snoqualmie at about 11 p.m. Wednesday, at 36,300 cfs, four feet above flood stage. Downtown Snoqualmie begins to experience flooding in low-lying areas at  35,000 cfs. Low-lying roads including Reinig Road, Mill Pond Road and Northern Street are expected to overtop.

In Carnation, flood-waters had already begun to impact Carnation Golf Course. The flood there is expected to crest at 41,000 cfs, or 58 feet, four feet above flood stage, by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 31.

At 1 p.m., the Tolt River was on a phase III flood alert. By then, the river had reached 4,510 cubic feet per second: at this level, road closures could be expected along the river in and around Carnation, including the Tolt River Road, while homes in the San Souci neighborhood could see driveways overtop.
