Si View Metro Park District is hosting its first youth cross country meet ever at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at Tollgate Farm Park in North Bend. The meet is open to the public.

Snoqualmie Valley Track Club’s youth Cross Country Team, now in its second season, will host the Renton Parks and Rec team in its first home meet. The team of 16 runners, ages 5 to 12, has been practicing locally twice a week working on their pacing, running form and race strategy with their coach, Dutch Siedentoph, and his assistants.
