Young cheerleaders

The Snoqualmie Valley Junior Football Association cheerleaders have had an outstanding season. The cheerleaders, with more than 50 girls participating, have cheered at numerous Viking football games at all levels of play.
The cheerleaders began practicing in mid-August and work up to two hours a day, three days per week. Any child age 8 through the eighth-grade can participate. The cheer squads build pyramids and do stunts like the high-school cheer squad. Viking cheer has taken a new approach this year, focusing on leadership, responsibility and hard work in addition to fun.
