It was another strong showing for the Mount Si boys’ golf team Monday, Oct. 22, at the SeaKing District Tourn-ament in Kent. Three of the four Wildcat golfers who competed in the tournament made state, and the fourth narrowly missed out as Mount Si finished in a strong fourth place in the event.

The Wildcat contingent was led by Mike Rutledge. Rutledge, a junior, fired a round of 69 on the par-72 Riverbend Golf Course layout, which landed him in a first-place tie with Eastside Catholic’s Stefan Richardson and Bainbridge’s Kyle Hurt. The three advanced to a sudden-death playoff, which Richardson won on the second hole, beating Rutledge. Hurt finished third in the playoff.
