SNOQUALMIE – The Mount Si boys tennis season is over after Wildcat players made quick exits at the Kingco Tournament last week.

Both Bryce Wilson and Tyler Emsky lost their first singles matches by 0-6, 0-6 scores; Wilson to Sammamish’s Mike Kung, and Emsky to Issaquah’s Jeff Casserd.

Wilson, in his second match, gave Liberty’s Alex Wilson a bit of a fight, but fell 3-6, 3-6 to the Patriot player. Emsky didn’t have any luck, either, in his second contest against the Totems’ James Lawrie; Emsky fell 0-6, 0-6 to his Sammamish opponent. Both Mount Si players were eliminated following their second losses.

Tim Coleman and Kendall Brenneise, in their first doubles match of the tournament, fell to Justin Kruinger and Paul Lin of Interlake 2-6, 3-6, and then were sent packing 1-6, 1-6 at the hands of Bellevue’s John Willingham and Cameron Akita. Greg Beckmann and Tim Lewis, in their first doubles effort of the event, fell to Mercer Island’s Alex Knopes and Jeff Culpepper 2-6, 0-6; and the Wildcat pair were sent home for the year by Liberty’s Ty Martin and Parker Sjolander 0-6, 2-6.
