Third in district

The Snoqualmie Valley Little League 11-year-old All-Star team placed third in the district nine All-Star tournament recently compiling a record of 5-2. After losing the first game, the team went on a five-game winning streak, out scoring their competitors by a total of 54 runs and making it into the semi-final game. There they ended up losing 4-3 to Eastlake on a sixth-inning, game-tying play at the plate. During the tournament the team had seven home runs hit by five different players with six of the 12 players on the roster batting over .500.
The team was managed by Mark Karalus and coached by Todd Atkinson and Kurt Meister with the help of parent coaches Larry Henak, Doug Price, Jay Swedman, Terry Granillo and Chuck Jacobs.
