Team heading to tourney

With its third consecutive win, the Cascade Select Summit BU-14 soccer team is advancing into the quarterfinals of the Fred Meyer Commissioners' Cup soccer tournament. This is a statewide tournament with the last two opponents coming from Grays Harbor and Vancouver, Wash. With eight teams remaining in the competition, the next game for the Summit will be against a team from the Tacoma area at noon on Feb. 21 at Cedarcrest High School. This Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association team is part of the Cascade Select club and features top players this year from Duvall, Carnation, Issaquah and North Bend.
