sports camps

Several sports camps led by high school coaches and players are planned at Mount Si High School this summer.

High school boys

basketball camp

Camp June 23 to 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $75.

Youth boys

basketball camps

Camp for first- and second-grade players is 5 to 6 :30 p.m., July 7 to 10. Cost is $70.

Camp for third through fifth grade is 9 to 11:30 a.m., July 14 to 18. Cost is $100.

Camp for sixth through eighth grade is 1 to 3:30 p.m., July 7 to 11. Cost is $100.

Girls basketball camps

Camp for third through fifth grade will be held 9 to 11:30 a.m., June 23 to 26. Cost is $75.

Camp for sixth through eighth grade will be held 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., June 23 to 26. Cost is $70.

Camp for champs

This camp is for boys and girls ages 12 to 25 with developmental disabilities. Held at Eastside Catholic High School, it focuses on a wide variety of sports including basketball, soccer, kickball and bowling, and is an acknowledged State of Washington Respite Camp. It will be held 9 a.m. to noon, July 21 to 25.

Softball camp

Taught by Mount Si softball coach Larry White and the high school team, this camp will be held 3 to 6 p.m., July 14 to 18. It is for players ages 10 to 13 and will cost $100.

• Youth co-ed soccer camps

Camp for players age 5 to 13 will be held 9 to 11:30 a.m., June 30 to July 3. Cost is $100.

A second camp for players age 5 to 13 will be held 9 to 11:30 a.m., July 7 to 10. Cost is $100.

• Football youth camps

Middle school football camp will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 14 to 17.

For ages 7 to 9, the camp will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 21 to 24.

For players age 10 to 13, camp will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 28 to 31.

Puget Sound Reign cheer try-outs to be held

The Puget Sound Reign cheer program will hold try-outs for their 2008/2009 squads, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26.

Puget Sound Reign Cheer is a competitive cheer program for girls and boys ages 5 to 18 through Puget Sound Gymnastics and Dance in North Bend.
