North Bend resident Marcus King was honored recently as the 2008 Western Washington PGA Golf Professional of the Year, at the Western Washington PGA’s Annual Meeting at Oakbrook Country Club. The honor is voted upon by fellow Washington golf professionals, and is awarded based on qualifications and endeavors as a golf professional in the promotion of golf, public relations, community and charitable program participation, and dedication to fair play. King has served as President of the Western Washington PGA for two years and also serves on the Pacific Northwest Section PGA Board of Directors.

King, an owner of The Children’s Center in North Bend, has been a resident of North Bend since 1999. He is currently the PGA General Manager at Sand Point Country Club in Seattle.
