Valley gymnasts show off moves in Snowball Classic

Puget Sound Gymnastics and Dance had their first competition of the year Jan. 10 and 11 at the Snowball Classic, hosted by Grace Gymnastics in Lakewood.

Level seven gymnast Mikaelyn Davis had an all-around score of 34.05, taking first in vault with a 9.45 in the 11-and-under category. Elyssa Roeder had an all-around score of 30.7, and Kira Jerome got an 8.65 on vault and a 5.30 on bars in the 12-year-old category. Carissa Castagno had an all-around score of 30.7 for the 13-year-old age group.

At Level five, 8-year-oldlAnna Steenvorde placed third all-around with a score of 32.7, Makenzie Davis, 8, had an all-around of 30.6, and Emi Yoshikawa, also age 8, had an all-around score of 30.2. Ten-year-old Amanda Antoch had an all-around score of 29.5. Eleven-year-old Maggie Kenow’s all-around was 33.1; 12-year-old Emma Currie had an all-around score of 30.05 and placed first in vault with 8.95. Aubrey McMichael had an all-around of 32.7 for the 13-year-old age group.

In level four, 9-year-old Samantha Holmes had a 33.45 overall score and placed first in vault with a 9.25. Erin Walker had a score of 32.40 and placed second in vault with a 9.1. Olivia Murphy’s all-around score was 31.9 and Andromeda O’Keefe had an all around score of 31.85.

Eight-year-old Katie Engdahl’s all-around score was 29.65.

Sammy Markley had an all-around score of 32.25 and Lilly Foster received a 25.3 all-around score.
