Hole-in-one

Jeff Eerdman of Kirkland, recently made a hole-in-one at Mount Si Golf Course. He made the amazing shot on the eighth hole at a distance of 155 yards using an eight iron.


Hill continues to place

Carole Hill, representing the United States Telemark Ski Team from Snoqualmie Pass, was the top U.S. woman finisher in the Sprint Classic competition at the U.S. National Telemark Championships in Schweitzer Idaho. Larissa Pitton from Sion, Switzerland won the event. Carole had the fastest time for the two-run event but penalties (for jump distance and Telemark turns) moved her into second place.

She then went on to be the top U.S. woman finisher in the giant slalom competition held at the same location missing first place in overall competition by just over one second.


Wildcats to hold softball camp

The Mount Si High School softball team is holding its annual softball camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 20 at the high school. Players in the first through eighth grade and any coaches are welcome to attend. Instruction will be on the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and base running and will be taught by Mount Si players and coaches. The cost is $35 per person and includes a camp T-shirt and lunch. Coaches may attend for free.
