Hoops talent: Snoqualmie Valley Youth HUB hosted the
annual Hot-Spot competition for local youth. The competition
involves shooting two shots from five different positions around the
key.
After a dismal 4 and 16 season in 1999, the Mount Si Wildcat
varsity baseball team has no place to go but up, and leading that charge this
year will be new head coach Gary McGregor.

Mount Si has a long tradition of fierce fast pitch play and this
year promises to be more of the same. Despite losing a talented bunch of
seniors, coach Dirk Hansen is confident that the team the Wildcats will
field this year won’t give up easily.
Last year was another banner year for the Mount Si boys track team,
finishing first in meet competition and third in the league meet, two
points behind second-place Mercer Island.
The Mount Si varsity baseball team split their games this week,
losing 12-1 at Redmond and defeating Hazen at home, 8-3.
