Team members claimed five pins and two decisions, including two fast, explosive pins by Mount Si’s John Farmer and Ryler Abscher, to claim the 54-22 win.

In the 103-pound class, Abscher, a freshman, pinned Patriot Neil Chakravarty in a minute and six seconds.

“It was a tight match,” Abscher said. “I caught the roll, because he was not on his bases well. I just turned him over.”

At 189, Farmer pinned Patriot Noel Brandon in 1:26.

“I just took a shot,” Farmer, a junior, said.

“John is getting confident with that inside shot,” Mount Si coach Tony Schlotfeldt said. “He know’s he’s got to attack.”

At 145 pounds, Mount Si’s Bruce Stuart pinned Casey Smith in 1:33.

“The kid was tough,” said Stuart, a sophomore. “I managed to get on top and pull it off.”

At 171, Mount Si senior Shane Dixon pinned Jacob Tierney in 3:03.

“I came out hard and gave it all I got,” said Dixon.

At 119, Mount Si’s Tanner Stahl pinned Michael Shaw in 5:25.

Senior Dan Peterson pinned his opponent in an exhibition takedown that did not count toward team standings.

Mount Si’s Tye Rodne won a 5-1 decision in the 130-pound class against Liberty’s Tyler Le. At 215, Mitch Rorem won a decison against Liberty’s Luke Oman, 3-2.

At 152, Mount Si’s Max Kenagy was pinned by Liberty’s Noel Hamilton. At 160, Jay Chakravarty won a decision against Mount Si’s AJ Brevick. At 112, Liberty’s Austin Sivret pinned Wildcat William Beach.

Mount Si’s Aaron Peterson (135), Jake Lydon (140) and Joshua Mitchell (285) claimed forfeits. Mount Si forfeited in the 125-pound class.

The match was preceded with a Senior Night ceremony honoring upperclassmen.

Erik Sorvik, Shane Dixon and Dan Peterson were recognized on the mat, accompanied by their parents.
