The Mount Si boys basketball team booked its ticket to state with an emphatic 68-35 win over the Skyline Spartans in a loser-out district playoff game on Feb. 20.

The Wildcats had a balanced attack offensively, with Hayden Curtiss (17 points), Tyler Patterson (16 points), Jabe Mullins (14 points) and Bennett O’Connor (14 points) all contributing in the win.

Before heading off to the state playoffs on Feb. 28-29, the Wildcats (22-4) beat the Jackson Timberwolves, 57-36, in the Wes-King district playoff third-place game on Feb. 22 at Everett Community College. Mullins tallied 24 points and Curtiss had 12.

Mount Si’s girls basketball season ended with a 52-42 loss to Lake Stevens on Feb. 18 at districts. The Wildcats finished 13-12 overall.
