Metro Champs

The Washington Hurricanes U-18 fastpitch team last weekend qualified for the ASA Nationals tournament Aug. 1-7 in Columbus, Georgia, by winning the Seattle Metro championship at Marymoor Park in Redmond. This is becoming a regular occurrence for this team: this is the sixth time in seven years the Hurricanes have qualified for nationals. Mount Si softball player Kandis Clesson and her former Wildcats teammate Amy Trenkamp, who graduated this spring, are on the Hurricanes squad and are pictured here with their teammates and coach.
