Local man takes on mountains for charity

This past weekend a major cycling event came to the Valley. More than 500 cyclists from all over the United States and Canada, including a local man, pedaled almost 200 miles in three days over three mountain passes as part of the John L. Scott Foundation's Courage Classic Bicycle Tour.

This past weekend a major cycling event came to the Valley. More than 500 cyclists from all over the United States and Canada, including a local man, pedaled almost 200 miles in three days over three mountain passes as part of the John L. Scott Foundation’s Courage Classic Bicycle Tour.

Held Aug. 4-6, the riders started on Snoqualmie Ridge, then made their way over Snoqualmie, Blewett and Stevens passes, stopping off in Roslyn and Leavenworth before ending their trek in Skykomish.
