Mount Si senior Gale Kamp officially committed to play football at Eastern Washington University by signing the letter of intent app on Dec. 18.

“I have known Gale since he was a 7-year-old. He took advantage of all opportunities to improve himself throughout his time with us. He worked hard and reached his goal of getting his college paid for while playing the game he loves. None of this happens without him taking his academics seriously,” said Mount Si coach Charlie Kinnune.

Kamp, a 6-foot-3/260-pound offensive and defensive lineman, earned 4A KingCo Crest lineman of the year honors and was named a Seattle Times star lineman this season.

“I’m ready for the next chapter,” Kamp tweeted.
