Gymnasts set school record High numbers for Wildcats despite loss

The Mount Si’s gymnastics team continues its historic season. Even though they finished third last Thursday, Jan. 15, in their tri-meet against Issaquah and Newport, the Wildcats once again set a new school record for highest team score.

The Mount Si’s gymnastics team continues its historic season. Even though they finished third last Thursday, Jan. 15, in their tri-meet against Issaquah and Newport, the Wildcats once again set a new school record for highest team score.

The Wildcats scored a 159.5, which beat the score from their last meet on Dec. 11. It resulted in a third-place finish for Mount Si, behind the Knights (167.55) and Eagles (171.75).

Georgia Reynolds took third in the all-around with 35.7, and Kennedy Richmond finished ninth in the all-around with 33.15. Reynolds’ night included a win on the floor, third places on the vault and bars, and a seventh-place finish on the beam. Scores for individual events were not available.

Richmond’s efforts included a fourth-place finish on the floor, seventh place on the vault, and ninth on the bars. Brittany Cragin tied for 10th on the vault, while Rachel Karavias finished sixth on the beam and 10th on the floor.

Mount Si is home Thursday, Jan. 22, for their next meet. It is Senior Night, and the meet starts at 7 p.m.
