Wolverines end Red Wolves’ hunt

The Cedarcrest soccer team finished the regular season at 7-6,

and tied with Sammamish in second place in the Valley Division of KingCo

3A. As a result, Tuesday night, Nov. 2, the Wolves faced off with the

Sky Division’s second place Bellevue in the first round of the league

championship series.

Unfortunately, the 8-5 Wolverines smote Cedarcrest mightily, by a

score of 5-0, ending the Red Wolves’ campaign on a down note. Bellevue

sophomore Katie Zimmer did most of the damage, scoring the first of her

three goals at the 6-even mark. Bellevue continued to shell Cedarcrest

goalie Erica Burch throughout the evening, putting away the last of five goals

at 62:00 on a pass from Elizabeth Anderson to Kylee Zimmer.

The Wolverines moved on to face Skyline last Thursday evening.

The Red Wolves _ a strong squad that had its share of ups, downs and

injuries throughout the season – went home.
