Dozen Mount Si wrestlers to compete in this weekend’s regional tourney

Mount Si had a big group advance from the 3A Kingco/Seamount Wrestling Championships, held this past weekend, Feb. 8, at Interlake.

Top Wildcat finishers included Eli Clure, who won my pin to place first in the 120-pound weight class.

Taking seconds at league were Ryley Absher, at 145 pounds, Tanner Stahl at 160 and Andrew Harris at 195.Taking thirds at league were Jack Hamerly at 126, Gunnar Harrison at 132 and Justin Edens at 152 pounds. Fourth were Makhonsadile Lancelot at 106 pounds, Mason Marenco at 138 and Cameron McLain at 182

Fifth were Tyler McConnell at 126 and Justin Pearl at 170.

Mount Si finished third in team scores to Mercer Island and Hazen.

Mount Si assistant Brad Rorem was named assistant coach of the year by the league.
