Cedarcrest’s varsity girls team received plentiful inclusion in their league’s All-Cascade team selections this winter.

Senior guard Susan Kenney was chosen as most valuable player of the league, senior guard Kalee Fowler was picked for the first-team all league and junior guard Megan Ditore was selected for the second-team all league.

Two senior posts, Lacey Deming and Kathryn Smith, earned honorable mention.

“I’m very happy that all five starters were recognized for their efforts this season,” Coach Brad Knowles told the Record. “Susan, a prior two-time first-league honoree, had a great season, as did Kalee, who also earned first-league honors last season. I was hoping Megan would be selected for either first or second team and was so glad that she was selected, as she deserved it.”

Knowles, for his part, got a nod as co-coach of the year with Dan Taylor of Kings High School.
