German professional Bernhard Langer seized the lead over Zimbabwe’s Nick Price and Seattle-born Fred Couples last weekend to claim the trophy and the $1.9 million purse at the sixth annual Boeing Classic.

Langer ended the tournament, which wrapped Sunday, Aug. 29, at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, with a score of 198, 18 under par. Price took second with a total score of 201, 15 under par, while Couples finished in third with a total score of 207.

The Classic drew tens of thousands of spectators and 75 other tour professionals to the Ridge. Tournament play began Friday, Aug. 27, but was preceded at Snoqualmie last week by a variety of golf and charity event.
