Writer did not vote in primary

Letter to the Editor

I am not going to vote on Sept. 14. A year ago July, the [Carnation]

City Council, with the OK of the mayor, decided it wouldn’t let the

community vote on which entity would run the police department. Because it was

so complicated, council would make that decision.

I received a flyer on Sept. 1 regarding the police levy. I consider it

too complicated.

I hope the issues in the Nov. election will not be too complicated.

After voting 63 of my 84 years, I consider it a duty and a real

privilege that we enjoy in this country.
