Woman looking for family needs help

Letter to the Editor.

I am writing this letter in the hope that one of your readers may be able to help me. I am searching for information about my father’s family. He and my mother divorced early on, so I never knew him. I would like to find out if I have any relatives out there somewhere.

His name was George L. Smyth. He was born in 1899 in Canada, moved to the Snoqualmie area about 1903 and was still living there in 1920. He married Esther Rogers in 1918 and they were later divorced.

He began racing cars in the early 1920s and was killed in a race at El Centro, Calif., on March 4, 1934. I know there is a tombstone for him at the Fall City Cemetery. He had three sisters, Beatrice, Etta S. (Sue) and Isabella.

I would like to get in touch with any family members that may remain. I know that George did remarry and may have had other children. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
