Three teens save damsel in distress

Letter to the Editor

I would like to thank the three teenage boys who helped me during the ice and snow storm on Jan. 15.

I was sliding over the edge of the road on the first hill into The Uplands neighborhood at about 7:30 p.m. There was a 20-30 foot drop off and the front of my van was continuing in slow motion toward the cliff.

Three angels came to my rescue just as I was ready to let my van go over the edge without me. While one boy physically held my car back on the road with his hands, the others hooked a tow strap on the back of my car and used their truck (green, I think) to pull me backward and get me turned around so I could safely go back down the hill.

All during my panicking time, they were so calm and reassuring and told me exactly what to do and kept me safe.

I will never forget their kindness and reassurance. I don’t know any of their names, but I sure hope someone sees this who does know them and lets their parents know what a good job they’ve done raising their sons.

I am so fortunate to live in this wonderful Valley.
