Last Sunday afternoon my family had the pleasure of taking part in
the HUB All Comers Fun Meet. It is a track meet that is put on by
the Snoqualmie Valley Track Club, with both field and track events, held at
the local schools. This is our second year of participating and my children,
ages 5 and 7, were excited to go and “get some more ribbons.”
Everyone who competes in the 25-or 50-meter dash receives a ribbon.
It’s a great opportunity for children to experience a track meet in a fun
environment. The whole family as a group can join in the fun in the
400-meter walk/jog event.
My thanks to the Snoqualmie Valley Track Club, all the hard
working volunteers that help make it run smoothly, and the generosity of
the numerous contributors.
It was, all in all, a great experience and one I’m sure we’ll enjoy again
as there are three more meets in the next month. They will be held on May
