Thank you voters

Letter to the Editor

We are extremely grateful to the community for supporting the school district levy propositions last month.

The voters who reside in the Snoqualmie Valley School District have a long and proud history of supporting their schools on election day; whether it be for levies that are needed to cover costs associated with the day-to-day operations of the school district that are not funded by the state, or a bond to construct and renovate facilities. By supporting and passing the school district levy propositions on Feb. 7, the voters have once again chosen to make an investment in the children of this community.

While the benefits of a top-flight school system are enjoyed by parents, community patrons and the business community, it is the youth who, through their school experience, acquire the knowledge and develop many of the skills crucial to future happiness and success. Consequently, approval of these propositions is particularly significant for the students who attend our schools.

On behalf of the young people of our community, I thank you for supporting the levy propositions for maintenance and operations, technology and transportation.
