Last Sunday afternoon we attended the double-bill performance of Maya Soleil and Carmona Flamenco at the high school. It was tough to justify going inside on such a lovely weekend afternoon, but it sure was worth it.

My two young daughters and I were very well rewarded with the great performances. Maya Soleil’s African-inspired grooves and world music were amazing, and the flamenco performance was a great show of the Spanish tradition.

Our appreciation goes out to the Snoqualmie Valley Arts program for putting this series together. It’s nice to have worthwhile music and cultural performances coming to town and I hope to attend many more of these events.
