Supporters made tournament a hit

Letter to the Editor

The Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club would like to thank

the Snoqualmie Valley golfers for their generous support of the 20th

annual golf tournament held at the Mount Si Golf Course Thursday, Aug. 3,

2000. The event raises money to help support the scholarship fund of

the Kiwanis Club. All monies raised by the Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club

stay in the Valley to support local youth programs.

The Kiwanis wish to thank Matt Campbell for his help and support

of the tournament. We would also like to thank all the Kiwanians and

spouses who donated their time. The 18 holes were sponsored by the following

businesses: Glacier Northwest, Mount Si Chevron, Nintendo, The Salish

Lodge and Spa, John L. Scott Real Estate, The Valley Insurance Group, Scott’s

Dairy Freeze, Mount Si Golf Course, MacGuire Hill Real Estate,

Chaplin’s of North Bend, Claffey’s Painting, North Fork Enterprises, The

Valley Record, Signs, ETC., Sterling Savings Bank, Wilderness Glass, All

Points Associates, Eastside Mobile Glass, Snoqualmie Ridge and Wells Nursery.

A total of 64 people participated in the tournament. They competed

for prizes or gift certificates that were donated by Nintendo, Mount Si

Golf Course, Adair’s on the Green, Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Course,

Cascade Golf Course, Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course, Tall Chief Golf

Course, Carnation Golf Course, Twin Rivers Golf Course, Falls Ale Company,

Sterling Savings Bank, Scott’s Dairy Freeze, Claffey’s Painting, NW

Outlet Mall, Kerry Bailey, DDS, and the Iron Age. Without the support of

the local businesses, the tournament would not have been the success

that it was.

This tournament is an annual event that takes place the first Thursday

in August. Next year, the tournament will be held Aug. 2, 2001. Mark your

calendar and plan on spending a great day at Mount Si Golf Course to help

a worthy cause. Thank you for your support.
