Spring cleanup a first class act

Letter to the editor

A big thank you is extended to Kim Smith for organizing a citywide “spring cleanup” on Saturday, May 4. She is a fine example of being part of the solution (not just complaining about a problem). How refreshing!

Kim did an incredible job making sure everything was taken care of, from organizing the disposal of filled trash bags to gathering donations for prizes and the barbecue. It was a first-class act and something for which she should be really proud.

The following businesses that sponsored this event should also be recognized for their willingness to be a part of this community. Let’s make sure we help promote those businesses that are willing to step forward and promote Snoqualmie: Snoqualmie Ridge Homefinding Center, Quadrant, Conner Homes, La Fogata Mexican Restaurant, Sahara Pizza, Bella Vita Salon and Spa, Snoqualmie Falls Candy Factory, Singletrack Cycles and the Mount Si Golf Course.

Maybe the city of Snoqualmie could make this an annual spring event.
