Seattle slogan a waste of money

Letter to the Editor

Two hundred thousand dollars, $200,000, $200,000. What? Who? Why? Metronatural. Why such an amount? Who … some very wasteful, arrogant bureaucrats? What are they going to do with our tax money next? Apparently not spend it on education, public health, welfare, environment, public housing, etc …

What happened to things like a contest at a school or such? Even a brainstorm after an all-important coffee break would have been acceptable. Well, maybe that’s asking a lot with a real brain needed in the equation.

And just think … these people are getting paid. Ridiculous.

Editor’s note:

“Metronatural” is the new marketing tagline for Seattle. It is the result of a 16-month, $200,000 effort by Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, a private, nonprofit organization funded by membership dues and a percentage of state hotel and motel taxes.
