Remlinger has fun for the family

Letter to the Editor.

In response to the Family Fun Center letter from March 30, 2005, I wanted to take a moment to remind fellow Valley residents that Remlinger Farms is right here in the heart of the Snoqualmie Valley, just south of Carnation. Our Family Fun Park is geared toward families with kids 12 and under, and from the pony rides to the steam train, it is a wonderful way for young families to spend quality time together.

This year, we will be holding a fund raiser for Hopelink on our opening weekend on May 7 and 8. We will donate $2 for each $9 Fun Park admission sold. If you’ve never visited our farm before, take this opportunity to see what we have to offer.

Our farm is also the perfect outing for families with kids of all ages. Our Farm Market is a great place to spend time browsing our fresh local produce, gift items and consignment works by local area artisans. If older kids are willing to give up the “racier” bumper cars and go-carts that Garrett mentioned in his letter, they can enjoy their own wagon ride out to the strawberry or raspberry U-Pick fields and take part in the local tradition of picking their own berries. To enjoy our Valley is to enjoy it’s rich history and experience our local heritage.

We also appreciated that Garrett mentioned that such a fun center would be a wonderful employment opportunity for high-school students – as luck would have it, we are now hiring for the 2005 summer and fall season. Visit www.remlingerfarms.com and click the link for “employment” to find out more on what we’re all about, and to print out your own application. We hope you can visit the farm this summer.
