We need your help to pass three very important levies on Feb. 7.

No. 1 is a maintenance and operations levy. This covers basic operations including day-to-day funding for support staff, maintenance and custodial services, after-school programs and staff training.

This is a replacement levy and consists of 19 percent of our district’s total budget. Just think if your home budget was cut 19 percent, what would you do without?

No. 2 is a technology levy. This four-year levy will fund classroom technology upgrades and improvements. In this technology-rich area, our students need to stay current and competitive with other students in our region. Many of our computers are over 6 years old.

No. 3 is a transportation levy. This is a one-year levy that will provide funding to purchase about 26 new buses. Our district has had a 7-percent increase in enrollment this past year. Our district is also one of the largest geographically in King County and covers over 400 square miles. These new buses will be more energy efficient and generate fewer emissions.

Feb. 7 is an opportunity to show your support of our students and our school district. Please vote “Yes!”
