Nicholas served city nearly 30 years

Letter to the Editor

I would like to commend Al Nicholas for his many years of

service to the city of Snoqualmie.

Al has faithfully served for nearly 30 years as a member of the city

council, planning commission, civil service board, and the volunteer fire

department, while also devoting time to his personal commitments as an

active member of the Snoqualmie United Methodist Church and the

Masonic Lodge. I have come to know Al through many conversations, and I

respect his knowledge of the issues facing our community.

Al has lived here for 35 years and his insight into Snoqualmie’s

history is irreplaceable. I will never forget his words of encouragement over

the years as I have worked on certain issues before the council.

Any new council member will find it a challenge to represent the

citizens as he has on environmental and growth issues, and will have to work hard

to match his knowledge of the day-to-day functioning of the city of

Snoqualmie. Thank you, Al, for a job well done!

I look forward to Al’s support and advice; I truly value him as a

resource as I continue my work for the city.
