Library group thankful for support

Letter to the Editor

Inclement weather and snow on the ground didn’t deter supporters of the library from the Friends of the Snoqualmie Library Books, Crafts and Baked Goods Sale held Dec. 3 at St. Clare’s parish hall. Those who braved the wintry weather were rewarded with hot cider and cookies, a huge volume of books to choose from, gifts created by local artists and yummy baked goods.

Our success in this venture was made possible in part by the generosity of local citizens who donated their time and their baked creations. Our gratitude goes to Jerry and Jann Glisson, Shirley Forgey, Pat Oliver, Kay Semell, Pat Thomas, Lori Kimball, Joan Moe, Susan Kelly and Britta, Jed and Martin from Snoqualmie library’s Teen Program. A special thank you to the Rev. Patty Baker for her flexible assistance in transforming St. Clare’s parish hall into a usable space for a book sale.

And finally, thanks to all who have donated books to the library throughout the year. Those donations continue to raise funds for the library programs and services that would not otherwise be funded.

Thank you, as well, to everyone who stopped by. Your purchases and donations help support our library as a valuable community resource.
