Kiwanis Club thanks community

Letter to the Editor.

The Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis Club would like to thank the community and businesses that helped make the Giving Tree project an overwhelming success.

Without the huge support the community gave by donating gifts, we would not have been able to help those families in need. The Kiwanis Club would like to thank the following businesses for allowing us to set up a donation station in their place of business: Cascade Office Supply, QFC, Safeway, ACE Hardware, Bibo Coffee Co., Snoqualmie Market, Fall City Grocer, Falls Pharmacy, Blimpie’s, The Moose Lodge, Eastside Self Storage and Sterling Savings Bank.

A very special thank you for all their hard work picking up the gifts during the month goes to Becky Michaud and Miss Dakota!

The Kiwanis Club would like to also thank Claffeys Painting for donating the use of the trailer and staff to help transport all the gifts to the Sallal Grange, to Linda Bonner for sharing all her knowledge of eight years of doing this program and The Pizza Place for feeding all the volunteers all three days! In addition, the Kiwanis Club would like to thank all the volunteers that donated several hours of their time to help with this project. There are too many to list but we would like to thank, in particular, Neil Bailey and Angela Barrus for all their hard work and continued support of this project.

Thanks again to the Valley citizens and businesses for the support of this important project!
